Stonegate provides industry wake up call
Stonegate Instruments order books for its Door Open Alarm system, specifically developed for the refrigeration industry, have been boosted by exhibiting at the recent Refrigeration and Air Conditioning show at the NEC in Birmingham.
The event, which is the leading trade show for the refrigeration and air conditioning industry, attracted more than 7,500 visitors and 180 exhibitors from all across the UK and Europe.
Stonegate Instruments, based in Leeds, used the opportunity to promote sales of its temperature alarm systems specifically designed for the refrigeration industry. This included the recently redesigned Door Open Alarm device, a simple solution for the ever increasing problem of refrigeration doors being left open for long periods of time.
Stonegate's Door Open Alarm device is a large and loud warning device utilising a Flashing Xenon Beacon and up to two 100dB sounders which, when fitted to a cold room door, provides both audible and visual warnings that the door has been left open for an extended amount of time. The alarm provides customers with a solution for preventing major problems and the costs associated with damaged merchandise due to refrigeration doors being left open.
Stonegate Instruments managing director Shaun Evers said: "This was the first time we had exhibited at the show and it gave us a great platform to promote our wide range of products including the temperature displays. We attracted a lot of interest and orders for our Door Open Alarm device in particular were good."
Stonegate Instruments supplies its products to supermarkets, wholesalers and contractors, both here in the UK and abroad. A major fast-food chain has installed its Door Open Alarm devices in 500 of its outlets across the UK and recently placed an order for an additional 50 devices because they were so impressed with the product.
Established for over 30 years, Stonegate Instruments is acknowledged as one of the UK's leading manufacturers of electronic equipment for the refrigeration industry and was the first company to introduce electronic annunciators to the industry. In addition to its temperature alarm systems, sensors and digital thermometers, it has also developed a range of refrigerant gas detection systems used in both the air conditioning and refrigeration industry.
